Gambling Is A Sin According To The Bible?
In today’s culture the concept of the game and acting is often dismissed as something that destroys people’s lives and many Christians and other believers of the Bible say it is a sin. They argue that all forms of gambling are sinful and can not be a Christian, if you’re a player. Unfortunately, the Bible does not directly address the question of the game and leave the interpretation as to whether or not the game is bad in the eyes of God.
There is no doubt that people can let the game take control of them, leading them on a terrible road. Gambling addicts make bad choices and suffer the consequences. But it is obvious that not everyone is an addict of the game, and some people play for excitement, while others play for a living. Are these forms of gambling evil in the sight of God?
Form of the game with excitement when I looked at seriously is not very different from other forms of entertainment. Self-play is a bonus to offer the opportunity to actually come in advance of the money more than they started. What other forms of entertainment can be done? Not movies, golf or football, that’s for sure. However, gambling is often associated with really bad things, such as smoking and heavy alcohol consumption. Smoking damages the body and the heavy use of alcohol leads to what is the sin of drunkenness. If we stay away from these things and keep form of gambling within the means of pleasure, in reality no different than going to watch a movie.
